1. How do I get to the pound?

From the end of the 2 / 32 Connector (Backus Hospital) on your right hand side, go straight through the traffic light onto Rt 169 (Harland Road). Take the first right-hand turn on Ox Hill Rd. Take the next right onto Mahan Dr., take the next left onto John Edwards Dr. and follow that to the end. Turn left onto Wilderness Rd. (look for a stop sign). Take the first right onto Park Center Rd. and the pound is on the right hand side.

2. How do I license/register my dog?

The application can be filled out, brought in or mailed in to the City Clerk with a check/money order for the appropriate fee made payable to the "Norwich City Clerk."

3. What can be done for nuisance wildlife (bats, squirrels, skunks, raccoons, opossums, rats, etc.) in my house?

Please contact the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Nuisance Wildlife Division at 860-424-3011. They can assist you with locating a Nuisance Wildlife Operator who is trained and licensed through DEEP to handle such cases. You can visit the DEEP website at CT D.E.E.P. Wildlife
