Sikh Nation New Year

This day has been recognized by the Governor of Connecticut to recognize the distinct identity of Sikhs. According to the Mool Nanakshai Sikh Calendar which starts from year 1469 (Year Guru Nanak was Born). March 14th refers to the start of the first month of Sikh Calendar known as “Chet”.
