Christmas Tree Collection & Donation

Christmas Tree Collection

Curbside Christmas tree collection typically begins after the New Year's Day holiday. There is no formal scheduling of Christmas tree collection, rather they are collected as staffing resources allow. Residents are asked to use their best judgment in putting out Christmas trees when snow or ice is forecasted.

Note

Christmas trees may always be brought free of charge to the Rogers Road Transfer Station during normal operating hours.

Christmas Tree Donation

The City of Norwich displays public Christmas trees each holiday season at City Hall and on Franklin Square. These trees come from Norwich and surrounding community residents' donations.

If you have a tree that you wish to donate for this use please contact Norwich Public Works Streets & Parks Division at (860) 823-3799. Spruce trees measuring approximately 20 to 25 feet in height are preferred.
