All programs posted are open for registration unless otherwise specified. Registration must be done in advance. In order to insure the continuance of our programs, each program has a specified registration deadline (unless otherwise specified); a $20 late fee will apply to all registrations received after registration deadlines. The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements. We do not call to confirm registrations - your receipt is your confirmation. Registrations can be dropped of at the Rec. Office between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; there is a drop box located right next to the main door for after hour drop-offs. Registrations can also be faxed to (860) 823-3830 or e-mailed to email@example.com.
We accept cash, debit, credit, check, or money order. Checks can be made out to the Norwich Recreation Department. There is a $30 return fee for non-sufficient funds. For cash payments, we prefer exact change.
Scholarships will be awarded if scholarship money is available. For more information contact the Recreation Department.
The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change classes. If insufficient enrollment causes the cancellation of a class, a full refund will be given. Refunds will not be issued after the 2nd class of a program.
Recreation programs which are run in Norwich Public Schools are cancelled when schools are closed or when after school programs are cancelled. Programs run at any other location are cancelled at the discretion of the Recreation Department staff. Please call our office for cancellation information at (860) 823-3791 if you have not heard from us 2 hours prior to the start of class. Please make sure e-mails provided to the department are accurate, as this is typically the way we inform participants. The Recreation Department will make every effort to make up classes.
Any photographs taken of participants of the Norwich Recreation Department programs or activities may be used for publication or advertising materials such as brochures, flyers and online. Participants not wishing to have a photograph of them used must submit a request in writing not to be photographed at the time of registration.
