Building Maintenance

Description of Services

The Building Maintenance Division is responsible for:

  • Physical plant operations (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing & exterior) and custodial services for more than 440,000 square feet of city-owned buildings and parking garage space
  • Maintenance of 10 parking lots and more than 5.25 miles of sidewalks (plowing, sanding, salting, striping, signage, etc.)
  • Downtown sweeping and garbage cans, blight clean-ups, and support to the Parking Commission
  • Support for other initiatives and activities, such as:
    • Special events
    • Hang plaques
    • Re-arrange and/or set up offices
    • Remove unwanted files, etc.
