  • Enforcement of laws
  • Administration of police personnel
  • Traffic authority
  • Issuance and recording of permits for vendors, auctioneers, and firearms

 The Norwich Police Department has applied for funds in the amount of $16,638 under the 2016 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program established within the United States Department of Justice. Said funding is to be used to purchase a portable speed detection Monitor & trailer and additional laser units for traffic calming and enforcement. The Program requires public participation in the process and the ability to comment.
