Mission Statement
To offer recreational, educational, social, health, and human service programs which are designed to foster independence and community involvement for persons age 55 and older.

Rose City Senior Center

The Norwich Senior Center was established in 1974. After the construction of the new building in 1994, the name was changed to the Rose City Senior Center. The City of Norwich, Community Development, Senior Resources—Agency on Aging, and other state and local grants provide funding.

Inclement Weather Notice
If the area experiences bad weather this coming winter, the Senior Center may be closed. Please listen to WICH-1310 AM or WCTY-97.7 FM radio or watch WFSB, TV Channel 3 closings and delays. Sign up for alerts for closings and late openings throughout the City at the Alert Center.

Holidays and Early Closings
The Senior Center is closed for 12 Holidays per year. Also, when Christmas Eve falls on a weekday, the Center will close early at 2 pm.
