Emergency Operations Center - Located at Norwich Public Utilities
The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated provides resource management and deployment to first responders (Police, Fire, EMS, Public Works, Public Utilities) during large scale incidents and natural disasters. The EOC provides City of Norwich Departments and Partner Agencies with state of the art communication and information gathering equipment, provide on the ground incident commanders the resources they need to mitigate any emergency.
Emergency Management - Support Facility
Located at 10 McKinley Ave., Norwich, CT
The support facility is designed for allocation and storage of resources. The EOC during times of large scale incidents and natural disasters, require the ability to distribute commodities to both citizens and first responders. The support facility houses resources for use during these times.
The Support Facility also is the home to the Norwich CERT Team who are instrumental in supporting the functions of the Emergency Operations Center and Emergency Management Department.
